This conviction was based on Horizon computer evidence and followed an investigation by the Post Office and prosecution by Crown Prosecution Service. This was the first CPS prosecution based on Horizon evidence where an appeal has been allowed.
The Crown agreed not to contest the appeal on 22nd January 2024 and the appeal was listed today just a few weeks later
