Edward Fail, Bradshaw & Waterson are delighted to announce that Adeela Khan, solicitor and head of protest department, has been nominated as ‘Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year’ in the Criminal Defence category.
Adeela is a dedicated lawyer with a large and loyal own client base, and also undertakes duty solicitor work. Adeela has been advising XR throughout their protests in London, and has delivered numerous training sessions on protest law. She is also a Netpol (Network for Police Monitoring) recommended solicitor. Her nomination is testament to her resilience, dedication and skill.
Her commitment to legal aid extends beyond the work for her clients, and she has recently been appointed as Vice President of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association (LCCSA).
We are all delighted for Adeela, and wish her the best of luck when the winner is announced at the awards on 12 July 2022.
